Tip: Event Based Checklist Behavior Altered in 4.0.51

In many business processes, there is a need to complete documentation, whether this be Health and Safety documentation, or obtaining a client signature as proof the work has been completed and they are satisfied with that work.

In TimeTrak, this documentation is called a “checklist”, these checklists can be event-based to prompt your Mobile users and ensure the documentation is completed.

Checklists are profile based, the event in which a checklist fires is also configured on a profile basis as per below:

For more information about checklists and event-based checklists, click here.

Prior to version 4.0.51, if a profile is configured to have a checklist fire after check in, every time a user assigned to this profile checks in the checklist would fire.

However, this is not the required behavior in many instances where a user has checked into the job for the day, then suspended for lunch on checking back into the appointment the user should not be prompted to complete the checklist again as they have already completed this for the job today.

In versions of TimeTrak from 4.0.51 onwards, on check in to a job if a user is assigned to a profile with a “check in” event-based checklist this will fire as expected for the user to complete.

The completed checklist will be saved as PDF under attachments against the job as per below:

If the user then suspends for lunch and checks back into this job they will not be prompted to complete the check-in checklist again.

Note: Event-based checklist behavior is now only triggered once every 12 hours for a user against a job.
